I joined the Board of Governors in Spring 2013, just in time for the exciting challenge of appointing a new Head Teacher. My previous involvement with the school as a parent helper encouraged me to take up the more formal responsibility of being a Governor. I have two children at Christopher Rawlins, currently in Year 4 and Year 2. My youngest hopes to join FS in 2016.
I am Governor for Literacy, one of the core subjects of the new curriculum. I have enjoyed leading on the Governors’ Creativity Challenge and I also join the FSU team, developing and championing our Early Years Environment for the youngest members of our school community. I have an English Literature & Language degree from Oxford and I’m a freelance writer in children’s TV, a job where I thrive on working collaboratively, finding creative solutions and doing my best to inspire, educate and entertain young people. Hopefully a good fit for working in a school.
