I was elected parent governor in September 2013. In the past term I have enjoyed getting familiar with the role and responsibilities of being a governor. I am the Humanities Governor and have a link to Class 1. I am also a representative on the Curriculum Committee and part of the Head Teacher’s appraisal committee. I am looking forward to working with the broad team of pupils; headteacher; staff; parents and governors to ensure Christopher Rawlins Primary School continually improves, moving towards its aim to become an ‘outstanding’ school.
I am a Geography teacher at Oxford High School and as such have a good insight into the exciting but challenging world of education. I am particularly interested in how schools can provide the very best education to prepare young people for the rapidly changing future.
Prior to teaching, I spent 20 years in rewarding Marketing and Customer Service roles for Kraft Foods.
We have lived in Adderbury for over 20 years and have been involved in many aspects of community life. I have two children at the school; Archie (year6) and Molly (year 4). I support the PTFA and have enjoyed helping in the classroom. In my spare time I enjoy training for the odd triathlon!
