At Christopher Rawlins School, we provide education for children of the local community that:

Will be based on Christian principles;

Will equip children for life and will help them to understand the world in which they live;

Will treat all children as individuals, recognising their special talents, needs and abilities;

Will enable all children to reach the highest possible standards through the setting of targets and the monitoring of individual progress;

Will develop the all-round character of children (moral, spiritual, cultural, physical and mental) so that values of responsibility, of self-discipline and of caring are all encouraged.

This education will take place in an environment that:

Is related to parents, the community and the Church;

Is supportive, stimulating and secure.

Ethos

The school community is committed to providing the best possible start for the children in our care.  We are inclusive and provide for the whole school family.

We encourage pupils to take pride and pleasure in learning, to develop lively, enquiring minds and to apply themselves to tasks.  We seek to give all our children levels of self-esteem, confidence and self-discipline, which will enable them to succeed in the next phase of their education and throughout their adult life.

Values

Christian values underpin the life of our school through Jesus’ teachings of Compassion, Peace and Service.

We aim to create a moral and spiritual framework that encompasses understanding and sensitivity towards those of other faiths or beliefs, as part of our global community.

We have a strong, specific commitment to Religious Education with a timetabled act of worship.  We work in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and through partnerships with the Church at parish and diocesan level.  We recognise and develop our historic foundation by celebrating continuing links with the local community, churches and schools within, and beyond, our Warriner Partnership.  Our school is a focus for the communal life of the village that we serve.
