I joined Christopher Rawlins in September 2007 as a class teacher and became School Staff Governor in January 2013. For the Governors I represent the School staff on the curriculum and the SIAMs committee. My main role within Christopher Rawlins School is the Special Needs Educational Needs Coordinator.
Within school I work to support parents and children’s who have an additional need whether it be linked to Educational or Health needs. I am also a representative for the Patent Teachers Friends Association working alongside the parents supporting and developing this extra provision.
I am passionate about providing opportunities for pupils to excel both academically and culturally and have a particular interest in staff and pupil wellbeing. I enjoy the way people from different backgrounds, experiences and professions come together for one joint goal.
I am looking forward to working with my colleagues in school and on the Governors to continue to develop the new curriculum as nothing can be better than to be part of the team that ensure children leave our school as confident, caring , well rounded individuals.
