Early Years Provision - Nursery

We have a fantastic Nursery provision which offers children from the age of 3 a wonderful start in their learning through being active, exploring and being curious in both our indoor and outdoor setting. We have a brilliant environment for the children to flourish in, and work as an early years unit providing rich, high quality learning opportunities and interactions.
We have the capacity for 26 Nursery children per session. Please see further details below about what we can offer and the next steps in the process.
Session Entitlement at Christopher Rawlins Nursery:
-
In Oxfordshire children become eligible for government funded sessions in the term after their 3rd birthday.
-
Children can be allocated between 15 - 30 government funded hours per week during term time; eligibility dependent* and spaces permitting. *https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free- childcare-and-education-for-2-to-4-year-olds
Term start dates for determining eligibility are based on government legislation and not Oxfordshire term dates. Children must have had their 3rd birthday before these dates to receive government funding.
Session Times
9am - 11.30am Morning Session (doors open at 8:40 in line with the school)
11.30am -12.30pm Lunch
12.30- 3pm Afternoon Session (doors open at 3.10pm in line with the school)
We are flexible on how the hours are taken across the week but this is of course dependent on spaces within each session.
We have 3 key admission times September, January and April and prior to each starting point a clear transition process is in place. We will offer tours and/or attendance at a Stay and Play session followed by a meeting for parents.
Your child is also able to have a hot meal at lunch provided by our lunchtime catering team, Fresh Start - this is chargeable and a login will be provided to you once your child is secured a place. Please see School Meals under Parents tab if you would like to know more.
